Bits and Pieces

The past month has been a whirlwind. I started a new job (doing communications at Boeing now!), went to four weddings, traveled for fun and for work, and tried to squeeze in date nights whenever possible (loved our dinner here, always love our dinner here). The madness of a packed schedule and lots of changes finally caught up to me at the end of last week, and I found myself running on empty. Packing my bag for a weekend in St. Louis, I was mentally scrolling through all my outstanding tasks and feeling so overwhelmed.

So, I've decided it's time to take it a bit easier, so I can be more present in each activity. I need to focus on one thing at a time and get back on a health kick (although I did finish the giant tub of m&ms we bought from Costco in July yesterday, so that outstanding task is checked). That said, my new job has a two week break in December, and the always-itching-to-plan-something part of me wants to take it easy elsewhere and plan a little getaway for then. Any suggestions? A few days in the sun during a Chicago winter sounds blissful already. In the meantime, hopefully the weather's kind to us a little bit longer so we can get in some evening bike rides, walks and frozen custard runs (we want to rate our favorites around the city). With the holiday season starting next month (I can't believe it), now's the time to recharge our batteries :)

Below are some iPhone pics from recent moments if you care to see. Hope life is beautiful wherever you are <3
