For my last act as Ladan Nikravan, before I legally change my last name, I voted for the first time as a citizen of the United States. Between the hurdles to get my citizenship and this raging dumpster fire of an election, I was surprisingly elated to be at the polls. It was pretty overwhelming and incredible to cast my vote for a female president. It's a big deal, a big glass ceiling and a milestone I'm glad this country reached in my lifetime.
