Our Wedding: Getting Ready

Tuesday, September 6, 2016

Well, they're finally here! They've technically been with me for quite some time now, but it took me a while to go through all of them, and it was even harder to pick just a few to put up here. Our photographers, Tim and Bethany Tabailloux, did an absolutely amazing job of capturing the most special moments and emotions over the weekend. They are truly two of the most talented people I've ever met. We were drawn to them because of the way they capture moments in time that you'll never get back. Every photo is more special than the last, and having them by our side on our wedding day was a dream.

This day will forever be one of the most amazing days of my life. It's so hard to look back on these photos without tears of joy streaming down my face, while still trying to hold onto the memory of each little moment. I'll be sharing a few more posts over the next couple of days of different parts of the wedding, but today, it's all about getting ready.

Both Brian and I prepped at our childhood homes, where our parents still live. This was hands down the best decision we made during the entire wedding planning process, and it shaped everything else and the general mood of our wedding. It was so special to wake up in such a familiar place, that has held so many other memories, knowing the biggest was about to take place.

A few of my favorite moments of the day (some that you'll notice above) were: getting ready with my bridesmaids, my mom, aunts and grandmas; reading Brian's card; putting on my dress; seeing my Dad for the first time; seeing Brian for the first time. It was such a beautiful day. I had never been happier.

  1. I’ve had a couple of events at this location. The only thing that would have made these guys from wedding venues better would have been better communication in the earlier planning stages, but it all worked out great in the end.
