Bits and Pieces

And now a phone dump-y kind of post. Plus, if you'll indulge me, what's on my mind this Sunday evening.

I'm grateful for some good fortune this weekend. Kind people are wonderful. So wonderful. Being kind is perhaps the most important trait to me. Being smart, funny, beautiful or handsome are nice, of course, but being kind is the real deal.

At 2am last night Brian misplaced his phone in a cab, and after we realized and tracked it down, the cab driver came back downtown from Evanston to return it, without asking for anything in return. It was a trend for the night. Earlier that evening I left a box full of decorations for my friend's engagement party in the trunk of another cab, and we were able to retrieve everything tonight. Now if only that bike would come back. Thank you, kind cab drivers. We promise to pay it forward. And stop riding cabs for a while.

Hope you had a great weekend!
