#duckfest

"Roast duck" is an ongoing joke around here. The answer to "I'll make you anything, what do you want?" is always "roast duck." Same with, "If you could have only one food for the rest of your life..." or "What do you think 'so and so' is making when we go over for dinner?" If it were true, after the duck experience we had a few days ago, "so and so" would get automatic best-friend status. Brian and I went to Sun Wah for the Beijing duck feast with our friends Emily and Alex, and we think it might be one of the best meals we've ever had. We've contemplated it getting top-five status

Before we went to the restaurant, we went to the National Museum of Mexican Art in Pilsen for its Dia de los Muertos exhibit. It's one of my favorite (free!) things to do this time of year.


Then it was #duckfest time. We had reserved a duck in advance, which was cut up in front of us and prepared four ways. It was absolutely delicious, and we can't recommend it enough. I mean, just look at these satisfied faces.
